A186 - Foundations of Accounting
(3 cr.) Course addresses the role of accounting in society and business, with a special emphasis on fundamental concepts and the basic design of accounting systems. This course is intended for non-business majors who are interested in learning about how accounting affects their lives and businesses.

W200 - Introduction to Business & Management
(3 cr.) This course is a broad study of business administration from the standpoint of the business firm operating in the contemporary business, economic, political and social environment. Emphasis includes management of small business, motivation, strategic planning and determination of the optimal marketing mix.

M200 - Marketing & Society
(3 cr.) This course is an examination of the market economy and marketing institutions in the United States. A special emphasis is placed on helping the student become a more informed consumer. Topics include decision making and planning from the manager's point of view and the impact of marketing actions from the consumer's point of view.

Z200 - Introduction to Human Resource Practices
(3 cr.) Course provides a basic overview of human resource practices and principles which all managers need to be aware of today’s business environment. Topics include: recruitment and selection, performance appraisals, diversity, compensation and employee discipline.

F200 - Foundations of Financial Management
(3 cr.) Course introduces the student to basic decision models of financial management and prepares the student to take an active role in financial decision-making in the workplace. Topics include financial analysis, cash and working capital management, time value of money, risk management and planning for growth

P200 - Foundations of Production Management
(3 cr.) Course introduces the student to the basic ideas and concepts that make up the field of operations and supply chain management and prepares the student to take an active role in operations decision-making in their workplace. The course will acquaint the student with basic operations management concepts and terminology including topics such as process and quality management, resource planning and forecasting, inventory and capacity management, and the JIT/Lean operations concept.
