Integrative Core
The Integrative Core is the centerpiece of our undergraduate curriculum. I-Core is composed of three courses taken together as a block:
- F301–Financial Management (3 cr.)
- M301–Introduction to Marketing (3 cr.)
- P301–Operations Management (3 cr.)
In addition to the regular course work and exams in each of the courses, students are responsible for developing an integrative core team project. This project assists students in integrating the material from all three courses, helps students develop team building and presentation skills, and challenges them with "real-world" problem solving by assisting a local company with a business-related problem. The two highest performing teams receive the M & I Bank Prize, a monetary award designed to recognize excellence in business education.
Only students who have achieved Junior standing in the Kelley School of Business and who have met a series of rigorous pre-requisites are eligible for I-Core.
