- What hours is the Kelley School of Business Programs Office open?
- Monday – Thursday: 7:45 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday: Closed - I usually take one or two courses at a time due to my family and work schedule. Do I have to take all three courses of Integrative Core at the same time?
- Yes. Integrative Core is designed to combine content from all three courses, culminating in an integrated project. If taking all three courses in the same semester causes hardship, please see an academic advisor.
- Do I have to apply to the Kelley School of Business if I've already been admitted to School of Business at another campus and I'm just transferring to IUPUI?
- Yes. Students who wish to be admitted to Indiana University Kelley School of Business at the Indianapolis campus must meet certain admission requirements, whether they come from another division at IUPUI or from another campus of Indiana University. The application process allows us to evaluate whether or not you are admissible to our program. In addition, we like to know something about our students. We gather a great deal of useful information about you when you complete our undergraduate application.
- Is there an application deadline?
- Yes. For fall admission into the Kelley School of Business, the deadline is March 1. For spring admission, the deadline is October 1.
- What kinds of independent study are available?
- There are two types of independent study. The most common type is independent study by correspondence. These courses are listed in the School of Continuing Studies Bulletin. There is a separate application for these courses. They are NOT listed in the schedule of classes. There are restrictions to what courses can be taken.
- The other type of independent study is a Kelley School of Business course. In this case, students meet with a faculty member and contract with that instructor for the work to be completed. These courses ARE listed in the schedule of classes. They are available to KSBI students only.
- May I take Integrative Core without being admitted to the Kelley School of Business?
- No.
- Are there walk-in hours for the academic advisors or should I make an appointment?
- Walk-in and online advising is available to all Kelley School of Business students on a limited basis. Go here to view the hours for walk-in and online advising.
- You should contact the main Kelley Office for information regarding time and availability of walk in hours, as some events may limit or prevent this service. This advising is intended to be used for minor questions only - typically requiring 5 minutes or less. It is not intended to be a substitute for normal advising appointments, which should be made at least once per year (if not each semester). During priority registration periods, we recommend that you make your appointment two or three weeks in advance as adviser schedules tend to fill early.
- Is there anything I need to do before I graduate?
- Yes. You need to come to the Kelley School of Business office in BS 3024 and fill out a graduation application. We recommend that you do this six months prior to the month in which you are graduating. It is also strongly recommended that you make an appointment to see an academic advisor to make sure that all your coursework will be completed in time to receive your degree.
