Option 1 Admission
This option for early admission to the Kelley School of Business is available to students who have earned our "vote of confidence" by demonstrating high achievement during their first year at IUPUI. To be considered for admission under the Option 1 admission standards, students must meet the following requirements:
- Be admitted to IUPUI.
- All applications for admission to the university are submitted through the IUPUI Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 425 University Boulevard, Indianapolis, IN 46202; telephone: (317) 274-4591.
- Complete 26 credit hours of college course work that counts toward graduation with a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher. This course work may be taken at Indiana University or at another accredited institution offering a comparable program.
- Complete the following courses with grade of C or better and with an average GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- ENG–W 131 English Composition
- BUS–X 100 Business Administration – Intro
- BUS–X 103 Business Learning Community
- BUS–A 100 Introduction to Accounting
- BUS–K 201 The Computer in Business
- MATH–M 118 Finite Mathematics
- MATH–M 119 Brief Survey of Calculus
- Students admitted under Option 1 and Direct Admits must achieve the same standards in the required courses as those admitted under Option 2 in order to enroll in I-Core. All Option 1 and Direct Admits will have their grades reviewed prior to being approved for enrollment in I-Core.
- No unfinished incompletes.
- Submit an application by the required deadline. January 15 – March 1 for fall admission
August 15 – October 1 for spring admission.

Note: Students who have been denied admission based upon Option 1 admission standards are eligible to re-apply under Option 2 admission standards. However, students may apply only one time under Option I criteria.
